The STORY OF THREE VILLAS ON CORFU

From One Family Retreat to Three Distinct Villas

Paleo Homes began 2014 with a simple need: space for our own family holidays.

Helena grew up in Liapades, and Corfu was always part of our lives. We built our first house — Villa Calivi — on family land, designed for ourselves: small in scale, generous outdoors, carefully positioned with open views and privacy.

What started as a private retreat soon became something more. Later, we began welcoming guests. The response was immediate — and encouraging.

Yet during peak season, we often found ourselves without room. So we took on a second project: Villa Aspros, a 150-year-old village house. Instead of rebuilding, we restored it — preserving original elements while fully renovating structure, bathrooms, ceilings and floors. A true core restoration.

2023, together with close architect friends who share our connection to the island, we found a large plot between Lakones and Paleokastritsa. On this land — known as Xalupi — two sister villas now stand, carefully integrated into the landscape. One of them is presented here in detail.

Today, Paleo Homes remains a small, family-led collection of villas — each with its own character, yet shaped by the same principles: location, architectural clarity and respect for the land.

Our History

The story of Paleo Homes is closely tied to place.

Villa Calivi was completed in 2014. It was designed to meet our own standards — best possible position within the village, privacy, strong outdoor areas and a modern architectural language that still feels natural in the olive landscape.

Loulis Land marked the next chapter. A 6,000 m² property overlooking the west coast, developed together with long-time friends and architects who share our vision of building quietly and precisely. Two mirrored villas now stand there — similar in structure, individual in atmosphere.

We never planned to build a hotel brand. What exists today grew step by step — from personal need, architectural interest and a deep connection to Corfu.

Villa Aspros followed years later — not as a new build, but as the careful restoration of a historic house. Original walls and character were preserved wherever possible; infrastructure and interiors were rebuilt from the ground up.
